Named for nearby Tahoka Lake, a natural spring-fed lake whose
Indian name meant fresh or clear water. The seat of Lynn County
since 1903, today a cotton marketing and shipping point with gins
and compress.

- PIONEER MUSEUM - Historical exhibits of early ranching
days and pioneer mementos. Open Mon - Thurs 9:30 a.m. thru 3:00
p.m. Located at 1600 Lockwood.
- TAHOKA DAISY - first discovered at Tahoka Lake, the
lavender wild flower spreads over plains to rival the bluebonnet
and wild verbena.
